Why do I need to verify my email address?
The Learning Portal is a new, public-facing system offered by the Comptroller's office to provide convenient, secure, online access to training programs provided by the Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD). We want to keep your email address confidential and safe and are using a common verification process to confirm its you and to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing your account and data.
Our office is statutorily required to ensure that ARB members have attended a Comptroller-provided training per Tax Code Section 5.041. This online verification process ensures that our office and you comply with that statute.
We definitely encourage you to think before you click. Here is what to look for in your inbox. You should expect an email from TX Comptroller - PTAD with a subject of "Verify your email address" that includes a 6-character code and a link to complete the verification online at https://ptad.tahoe.appsembler.com.
If you no longer have this email, please select the Sign in link and follow the prompts to request a new verification code.
I forgot my password
To reset your password, select the Forgot your password? link on the Sign in page. Enter the email address associated with your account and select Submit. You will receive an email containing a link to reset your password. Select the "Set your password" button and complete the form to change your password. Your password must meet the following constraints:
-
Must be between 8 and 256 characters in length

If, for any reason, you must resume the course at a later time, our Learning Portal will track your progress. When you return, you can select the Resume Course button to continue where you left off.

Once course minimum requirements are completed, go to the Progress tab linked at the top of the course and select Request a Certificate button.
I have my course certificate. Now what?
PTAD checks tax professional course completions weekly. ARB coordinators also have access to PTAD Learning Reports to monitor ARB member course completions.
For property tax professionals and arbitrators, CE credits are not immediately posted to TDLR's website and must be separately entered by PTAD. Please allow two weeks or more for CE credits to be updated. If credit is not posted after two weeks, you may inquire at PTPCE@cpa.texas.gov.
